Turning a New Page

July 14, 2010 | Posted By: | Life |

2010 has been busy. At the end of last year I went to Nashville to record my new album with Kevin and since then it’s been a whirlwind… A good whirlwind. My album finally released on June 15th, and I am incredibly proud to say that it hit #4 on the iTunes singer/songwriter charts.  Aside from new music, it was also time for a website overhaul.  My problem with websites is that I always feel like they are too hard to update.  I tried to break that trend with this site and create something that constantly changes and stays up to date with what I’m doing.

So what have I been doing lately?  Got to take a trip to Washington recently.  No music, and no internet…  Just a cabin on the river, a pack, and miles of trails through the mountains.  It was about as close to heaven as you can get…

Other than that, been putting together a string of private shows through the mid-east.  I’m leaving Friday for our first show in Louisiana, and from what I hear, these people know how to have a good time.  Should be a fun couple of weeks.  Zach will be keeping me company and helping me out with some harmonies/keys.  To be honest, these are some of my favorite types of shows.  Stripped, real, and intimate.  I’ll keep you posted from the road, and until then, take a second to look around and check out the site.  Good to finally have it done ;)

Talk soon,
JC

This is one of the most compelling discussions I ever encountered in a long time, I’m talking about this piece of your post “… of last year I went to Nashville to record my new album with and since then it&#8217s been a whirlwind&…” it gets me to feel more intelligent after reading it.
